Terms of Service

1. The Service

GotDeals finds and shares deals and offers from third-party stores and lets you get alerts about them. We don't sell the products, and we aren't a party to any purchase you make. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account; tell us right away at info@gotdeals.ca if you think your account has been misused. Give accurate information and keep your contact details current. Each person may hold one account.

3. Deal information and AI-generated content

Deals are posted for information only. Prices, availability, terms and expiry dates are set by the store and can change or end at any time without notice. Always check the details on the store's site before you buy.

Some deal titles, descriptions and images are produced with the help of artificial intelligence and reviewed by our team. Generated images are illustrations, not photos of the actual product. Despite our efforts, deal content may contain errors. If something looks wrong, let us know at info@gotdeals.ca.

We don't guarantee any deal, price, product or store. Your purchases are between you and the store, including payment, delivery, returns and warranties.

4. Alerts and messages

You choose which alerts you get and how (email, text message, browser push) in your preferences, and you can change or stop them at any time. Every alert email has an unsubscribe link. Your mobile carrier's message and data rates may apply to text messages. Alerts are sent on a best-effort basis; we don't guarantee that any alert will be delivered or arrive in time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break any law, or use the Service to send spam or harmful content;
• scrape, crawl, copy or harvest the Service or its content by automated means, or frame or mirror it;
• interfere with, overload or try to break the Service or its security, or access other users' data;
• create multiple or fake accounts, or manipulate likes or rankings;
• reverse-engineer the Service, except where the law expressly allows it; or
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection with anyone.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and its content, including deal write-ups, images, design and software, belong to GotDeals or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share deal pages for personal, non-commercial use, including with the Share button. Store names, logos and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products and offers; their use doesn't imply endorsement.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact info@gotdeals.ca with the details and we'll review it promptly.

7. Third-party sites

The Service links to stores and other third-party websites that we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, products, terms or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GotDeals and its owners, employees and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings or data, arising from your use of the Service, any deal, or any purchase from a store. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold GotDeals harmless from claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account at info@gotdeals.ca. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, continue after termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Subject to any consumer protection law that gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live, the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute about these Terms or the Service.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you on the Service or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. The parties have requested that these Terms be drawn up in English; les parties ont exigé que ces conditions soient rédigées en anglais.
